Lake use terms and conditions
West Kirby Marine Lake is open for members to enjoy with their personal craft.

Free parking at the lake side for all Watersports members, customers, and day pass holders

Free access to showers and changing rooms during centre opening hours

Lake Membership can be purchased online or by telephone (01516062010)

Membership for 3 months or a day pass to launch personal craft including windsurfs, paddleboards, sailboats, canoes, kayaks, and wingfoils, see Terms and Conditions for exclusions

ACCESS TO THE CAR PARK

The Marine Lake Car Park is only accessible if you ‘Book On’ the lake with a day pass, course, session or activity, or through your Lake License Membership account

You can ‘Book On’ the lake when you login to ‘My Account’

You can then operate the car park barrier using your QR code or your Lake License membership card

Please use the intercom on arrival at the barrier and state your name and the course, session or activity your are booked on to.

If you have a Lake License Membership, please collect your card from the Watersports Centre reception, use your card at the barrier to gain entry.

All private craft users will need to ‘Book On’ the lake before you attend to activate your barrier card or QR code

All users have a QR code on their account, including day pass users, simply login to ‘My Account’ go to ‘Home’ and scroll down to ‘My QR Codes’, present your QR code to the white scanner at the barrier

Wirral Watersports Centre is based at West Kirby Marine Lake, we offer a full range of water sport activities.
We deliver fun and adventure on and off the water
West Kirby Marine Lake is for the exclusive use of Wirral Watersports Centre Customers and its Members ONLY
Dinghy sailing – Windsurfing – Paddleboarding – Kayaking – Canoeing – Powerboating – Raft building – Beach school – Open Water Swimming – Foiling
You can get on the water in several ways including:

Sailboat and Windsurf hire for Log Hours with proof of qualification
Ideally placed on the northwest corner of Wirral, the lake enjoys uninterrupted winds from across the Dee Estuary and beyond. We are considered the regions premier location for Wing Foiling, Windsurfing, Dinghy Sailing, and, on calmer days, the lake is perfect for paddleboarding and canoeing. To access the lake with your own craft you can purchase a pass on a day or monthly basis to suit your needs.

BEACH WATER QUALITY
Beach Wheel Chair Hire
Wirral Watersports Centre now has a number of Sand Cruiser Beach Wheel chairs which are available to hire free of charge to enjoy the beach area at West Kirby.
Booking can be completed via telephone or in person.
All users must be able to self-transfer into the chair with their carer’s help, a mobile hoist available on request which must only be operated by the carer.
