ACTIVE ALLSPORTS DISABILITY HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

MAY 2024

This Half Term activity programme is available to children and young people with a disability or additional needs.

We welcome parents, carers and siblings to all sessions.

This year’s May Half Term programme runs from Tuesday 28th – Thursday 30th May.

Activities require pre booking via the Central Leisure telephone team on 0151 606 2010.

Tuesday 28th MayFamily Walk and Activities
10:00am - 12:00pmWirral Country ParkFREEFun recreational activities in the park. Activities include beach games, rock painting and meadow walk. Families are welcome to stay after the session to enjoy other activities being provided in the park e.g. bike hire opportunities (charges apply) or bring your own bike for a cycle down Wirral Way, picnic area, and refreshments at the onsite café.
Tuesday 28th MayDisability Family Swim2:00pm - 3:00pmWest Kirby Concourse Leisure CentreFREEFun recreational pool session. Please note that parents and carers will need to support their children in the water. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session to change.
Wednesday 29th MayBowling10:00am - 11:00amBromborough Bowls£3.00 per childTake to the lanes and enjoy two games of indoor ten-pin bowling.
Thursday 30th MayDisability Family Swim9:00am - 11:00amGuinea Gap Leisure CentreFREEFun recreational pool session. Please note that parents and carers will need to support their children in the water. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session to change.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITY INFORMATION

  • Limited spaces are available for all activities
  • Payment must be made at time of booking
  • Bookings available via the Leisure telephone team on 0151 606 2010
  • Siblings are welcome but must be booked and paid onto the activity
  • Long hair should be tied back
  • Participants should bring their own refreshments
  • Participants should wear appropriate clothing for the activity they are attending
  • Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the activity

BOWLING

  • Hire shoes will be available so socks are advised, participant can wear trainers if preferred 

Meeting Place: Please meet and register at the reception area

Family Walk and Activities

  • Limited spaces are available,
  • Siblings are welcome,
  • All participants should wear appropriate clothing for outdoor activity,
  • Parking available on site (charges apply).

Meeting Place: Please meet and register at the Visitors Centre.

DISABILITY FAMILY SWIM

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the session to change
  • Max of 5 per booking
  • Children unable to swim, under 8 years, or with complex needs MUST be accompanied by a parent/carer
  • Pool hoist available on site
