Gym Opening Hours:
Brand new gym and fitness equipment now installed at West Kirby Concourse Gym and Studio
An extensive range of new gym machines and equipment and studio bikes have now been installed at West Kirby Concourse Leisure Centre, and most other leisure centre facilities, as part of a wider transformation programme for Active Wirral services.
The state-of-the-art equipment allows gym users to access personalised training programmes and receive instant feedback, with entertainment options to help motivate every workout and the new spinning cycles at some centres adds speed to their classes!
The new equipment includes Cardio equipment such as treadmills, cross trainers, rowers, bikes and the addition of verticlimbers, ski-ergs and stepmills for those customers who prefer a more energetic gym session. Plus Strength training options such as hip-thrust, standing squat machine, a variation of a pec fly and lat pull down and additional IFI approved (Inclusive Fitness Initiative) equipment for users that have mobility issues and/or use wheelchairs.

- Free Inductions available, must be pre-booked.
- Lockers 20p.
- Last admittance 1 hour before closure.
- Juniors aged 12+ may access Active Wirral Gyms, see guidelines.
- Ages 14+ may attend anytime unaccompanied (ages 14 and 15 years will require an adult to sign an agreement form at the gym induction).
- Ages 12 – 13 may attend anytime accompanied by an adult (ages 12 and 13 years will require an adult to sign an agreement form at the gym induction, a ratio of 1 adult to 2 juniors is required).
- No access to any junior under 12 years of age.
- A Teen only Gym session is available at West Kirby Concourse every Friday evening 7:00pm – 9:00pm, 12+ year olds may access unaccompanied.

PUBLIC SWIMMING NOTICE
- Last admissions 30 minutes before the end of sessions.
- Showers, toilets and changing facilities are available
- Bathers of all abilities may access these sessions
- The designated area for non-swimmers is located in the shallow end of the pool, accessible via the ramp & steps. The area is clearly signposted on the poolside.

Sportshall courts, Activities and Block Bookings
The Sportshall at West Kirby Concourse offers Badminton courts, indoor 5 a side, Volleyball, Netball, Basketball courts, Table tennis and Short tennis.
Please be aware that table tennis is not bookable in the Sportshall at West Kirby Concourse after 5pm.
Casual or block bookings can be made.

Pickleball
Pickleball is a combination of tennis and table tennis and is played on a badminton court. It is played with a paddle style racquet and a hard ball, it’s ideal for players with a competitive nature played in a social spirit.
