Invigor8 Membership Information

**Invigor8 Daytime members may book one court for one hour per day. Invigor8 members may bring one player each to accompany them on court. An additional Guest fee of £2.50 is applicable per hour for other guests. The Invigor8 member must be in attendance at the court and participating in the activity.  See additional information regarding court hire with an Invigor8 membership below.

***All Annual Memberships require payment upfront and offer 12 months for the price of 10 months therefore the customer receives 2 months free (non-transferable and non-refundable). The discounted Annual Memberships are contracted for 12 Months and cannot be cancelled once purchased.

Booking rights

Invigor8 Member booking rights are 7 or 8 days in advance dependant on subscription type, view in Membership details. The 7 or 8 days in advance is currently set to the start time of the class or session.

Family membership

Invigor8 Family membership includes 2 x adults and 2 x under 18 years OR 1 x adult and 3 children under 18 years. Adults can access Golf courses Mon – Fri, Juniors can access Golf courses 7 days a week. 

Unlimited Swimming

Invigor8 members with a live subscription may access swimming pools and a family swimming session with children. Any family members without a membership will pay to access the session as per the current price list. A Family Invigor8 membership is available to provide free pool access for all family members.

Court hire with an Invigor8 membership

Invigor8 Daytime members may book one court for one hour per day. Invigor8 Daytime members may bring one player each to accompany them on court. An additional Guest fee is applicable at £2.50 per hour for other guests.

Invigor8 Inclusive members receive 50% discount on all court hire and can book one court for an hour per day at the discounted rate. They may bring up to 3 additional guests to play on the court within the booked session.  

Invigor8 Plus members receive 25% discount on all court hire and can book one court for an hour per day at the discounted rate. They may bring up to 3 additional guests to play on the court within the booked session.  

The Invigor8 member must be in attendance at the court and participating in the activity at the time of the booking. 

Invigor8 Corporate eligibility

This membership can only be purchased by contacting the central Membership team on 0151 606 2010 or by visiting one of our leisure centres.

Invigor8 Student Eligibility

This membership can only be purchased by contacting the central Membership team on 0151 606 2010 or by visiting one of our leisure centres.

Invigor8 Student memberships may only be purchased by a Full time Student enrolled on a full-time educational course or attending school or college full time for at least 1 year.

Suspension and Reinstatement of Invigor8 Memberships 2020 – 2021

Invigor8 memberships were automatically suspended in March 2020 when leisure centres were instructed to close in line with UK Government Covid 19 restrictions. The majority of our facilities and activities are now open and accessible through pre-booking or directly arriving at sites.

In the event of any new or additional restrictions being imposed by the UK government in 2022, access to facilities and membership guidance will be available on our website and social media channels.

All suspended Invigor8 subscriptions were reinstated from Wednesday 20th October 2021 in line with Invigor8 membership agreements. Information regarding payments and future direct debits can be found below. Letters were sent via post in October 2021 to every member at the address provided to us containing all the information required.

Cancellation of Invigor8 membership

One Direct Debit is required to clear through payers bank on commencement of Membership. Additional Invigor8 Memberships available

• Invigor8 Plus Monthly Cash pass £35.00 – equivalent access rights to a Plus membership available with no commitment, upfront payment with 1 month access – available to Wirral and non-Wirral residents
• Invigor8 We Are Undefeatable Health Membership is available via a Health Referral from a Wirral based GP or Health Practitioner. Invigor8 Membership application forms must be signed by a qualified referee providing residents with an option to purchase a discounted Invigor8 Membership for £15 per month. A maximum of 3 monthly WAU subscriptions can be purchased in a 12 month period. Excludes current members or a members within the last 6 month period. Usual T’s and C’s apply.
• Armed Forces Membership: Various Membership options are available to all serving and ex-serving Armed Forces personnel. FOC or £19.75 (from 1st April 2025) dependent on eligibility. Please contact Age UK for further details on vetsgympasses@ageukwirral.org.uk
• Invigor8 Standard: The Invigor8 Standard Membership is discontinued and is no longer available to purchase since 31st December 2018. All customers who subscribed to the Standard Membership before 31st December 2018 are eligible to enjoy all the benefits currently offered. Cancelling an Invigor8 Membership

How to cancel an Invigor8 membership

Whilst we do not want to see anyone leave the Invigor8 membership scheme, there are times when members need to cancel their membership and we offer very flexible cancellations terms and conditions.

One Direct Debit is required to clear through a payer’s bank account on commencement of a Membership.

Gym access and gym inductions

An Induction is required for all customers requiring access to any Active Wirral Gym. A valid up to date induction must be visible on customer account in order to access a gyms. Accounts can be checked online, at a leisure centre or on the telephone 0151 606 2010. 

Junior Access to Wirral Leisure Gyms

• 12 – 15 year olds attending a gym induction are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to complete and sign a health declaration and induction agreement
• Ages 12 and 13 may access the gym at any time accompanied by an adult, ratio of 1 adult to 2 juniors
• Ages 14+ may access the gym at any time unaccompanied
• A Teen only session is available at West Kirby Concourse Gym every Friday evening 7.30 -9pm, 12+ may access unaccompanied, no booking required
• Access denied to all juniors under 12 years of age 

Wirral Passport A

A WPA (Wirral Passport A) can be purchased by any Wirral resident to receive up to a 25% discount off a range of pay and play activities.

To apply for a WPA a resident must fall into one of the following eligibility criteria: Income Support/Income-related Employment & Support Allowance, Income-based/Contribution-based job seekers allowance, Council tax support, Housing benefit, Incapacity benefit/contributory employment & support allowance, Working tax credit*, Child tax credit (eligibility criteria must be met), Full-time students/Apprenticeship (over 18), Work-based learning for young people, A dependent partner of those on income support, receipt of Carers Allowance, Aged 65 or over, in receipt of Universal Credit.

Costs £7.90 per year (price from 1st April 2025) Proof of eligibility is required and passes can be purchased from and Leisure Centres, Golf courses or the Wirral Watersports Centre. WPA application forms can be found here: Wirral Passport A Application Form or at any of these centres.

Access for Carers to Leisure Facilities

Customers are welcome to take a Carer into an activity or facility. Customers are advised to register the Carer on their account (Carer will be registered and linked to the primary customer’s account). Eligibility of the Carer must be provided including proof (high rate DLA , PIP or Carers Allowance).

The carer must be actively assisting and supporting the customer at all times. The Carer is responsible for the customer’s welfare and must be fully capable of meeting their specific care needs throughout their visit.

The Carer may accompany the paying customer if the customer requires support, but they are not permitted to participate in the activity for their own benefit, unless they make payment to access as a paid user.

All customers are required to pay for the activities or purchase a membership to access (excluding Swimming where Carers are not required to pay to access the pool with the customer).

A carer does not require a gym induction to support a customer and may not access equipment whilst in the gym area. Specialist teams are on hand to discuss customer’s fitness requirements. Any Carer wishing to access the gym equipment must purchase a ticket. 

Black Friday 2025 terms and conditions highlights (usual T’s and C’s apply)

• Annual Memberships require payment upfront and offer access for the number of months stated at the Promotional price.
• Annual memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Annual Memberships are contracted for 12 Months and cannot be cancelled once purchased.
• Cash Memberships are payment upfront subscriptions offering 31 days access,  cancellations, refunds or transfers are not permitted.
• Medical subscription suspensions are for a maximum of 3 months only. Any other suspensions are offered due to circumstances out of our control.
• Suspensions are not permitted for one month memberships.
• Junior access policies must be adhered to at all times (available to view online)
• Invigor8 Family membership provides 7 day and 5 day access to golf for Juniors and Adults respectively. 
• Black Friday 2025 products are available to purchase between Wednesday 19th November and Wednesday 31st December 2025.
• A maximum of x2 one month memberships and x1 12 or 15 month memberships can be purchased during the promotional period.
• Memberships to commence on the day of purchase, subscriptions will not be post dated.
• All memberships are available to purchase online, in centres and by telephone.
• Payment is required at the time of purchase
• BF 2025 memberships are multi centre and unlimited access products therefore no refunds are due for temporary closure of facilities or activities during the period of the subscription.
• New Gym equipment is due to be installed at four centres throughout December 2025 which may result in short term temporary closure of one facility at a time ensuring access to facilities at all times therefore refund requests will be denied.
